Overview: Spain, 1953. Kilian is a young man from the mountains of Huesca who travels with his brother to the island of Fernando Poo, a province of the Spanish Guinea in Africa, to work in his father's cocoa plantation. Once there, he embarks on a journey of twenty years towards maturity and knowledge, although he will also have to deal with pain and loss.
